Turns out there is native popover API in recent browsers! So, yes, now it does that exactly.

🔥 Is it possible to close the "and more" dialog when you tap outside of it?

Also, tag pages now have a tab followers so you can see the people following a tag you like and follow them. #tlog63 notes17 followersenter to follow #feature30 notes4 followersenter to follow

Major #feature30 notes4 followersenter to follow on the #ui4 notes2 followersenter to follow/#ux4 notes1 followerenter to follow for desktop users, all handles and hashtags are now showing a popover on hover so you can quickly see the profile and hashtag information and follow them. #tlog63 notes17 followersenter to follow

and I thought the site was finished and I had nothing else to add when I #launch35 notes16 followersenter to follow'ed it. How naive. I've done so much work since then and every day is full of issues to work on. #tlog63 notes17 followersenter to follow

I'm running out of ideas what else to do and asking #Codex3 notes0 followersenter to follow to suggest me #ui4 notes2 followersenter to follow/#ux4 notes1 followerenter to follow improvements. A lot of its suggestions are good but a lot are banal as well.

Yeah, it survived being on 1st page of HN for a day just fine! Snappy, didn't sweat at all.

It is quite amazing what you can run in those small VPSes if you just build with them in mind.

textlog runs on a 2.5€/mo vps 1 core/2gb ram, using just one instance of Bun with its embedded SQLite. Works perfect and I run a few other apps as well on that machine.

Sharing a great read today: stevehanov.ca/…/how-i-run-multiple-…a-20month-tech-stack Some of the takes are on the extreme end, but like most IT decisions, you can dial the pain to exactly what you want. ^C

Your wishes have come true (well, almost) - you can now search for handles and hashtags while you are writing a note/reply - it will preserve what you've written so far and you can find what you're looking for! #tlog63 notes17 followersenter to follow #feature30 notes4 followersenter to follow #nojs1 note0 followersenter to follow

Wish you luck! Personally, I can't even land an interview these days -get rejected on the spot, so that's a feat on its own.

Job I was hoping for gave me the "we found another applicant" treatment. I don't begrudge them for that, since I know I had a 'less than adequate initial coding interview. But still, it stings and sucks. Hopefully my other interviews yield better results...

Yes! The IRC feeling was intentional. Low-noise, not intrusive. Glad others see this as well.

I think the this sort of feels like relaxed IRC. I am very much appreciating text only and not feeling like I need to stay glued to a feed.

2-24, letters, numbers or underscores, now there are helpers to point that out.

What’s the maximum character number per handle?

I think the intensity is satisfying my #ADHD3 notes3 followersenter to follow, keeps my mind busy enough so then I can focus.

Techno (and metal) coders are a special lot. I can't fathom trying to focus to that kind of intensity. But I know you're not alone, but I sure can't understand it ^_^

unlikely, but it doesn't look that bad, you could thread it even more, once you link the top post it's fine /post/1075.

would it be possible to implement that for regular posts? i tried your idea of including the title of a micro story in the textfield but ran out of characters on the last line and had to roll it over. i suppose i could have just refined the story though to make it fit

I have hallucinate.site playing all day. It has about 1100+ live 1-hour sets from #HÖR_Berlin1 note0 followersenter to follow playing randomly, when I don't like a set I change it but most of the time it's fine. It's #techno3 notes2 followersenter to follow.

Do you code in silence or do you listen to music? If so, what kind of music do you prefer? Personally, I prefer Synthwave, vaporwave or the occasional country.

The old activity page had some title-looking rows above each post, maybe it was that.

ah yes but then wouldn't that limit the character count of a story or post even further? i thought i saw some posts with titles appended above but maybe imagined that

I'm sure @paratoner6 notes22 replies3 tags, 3 users following4 followersNo bio yet.enter to follow will fix it eventually, I'm not in control of the #Dart2 notes0 followersenter to follow app.

Just tried logged in, using web, still the same, no Markdown rendering (looking at inline/block codes only). It doesn’t render LaTeX either.

Just An Idea ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Story goes here...

also, how to put a title on a post?

Darn. or.. #Dart2 notes0 followersenter to follow.

Of course I did. That's how I know it isn't working. :-D

Did you enable it from the settings? It's off by default.

Render Markdown isn't working (I am not logged in) while using the web version of the app (the only version I have played with).

Can't remember the last time I dealt with just #JS1 note0 followersenter to follow but I remember it was like being blindfolded. #TypeScript1 note0 followersenter to follow ftw.

It sure is a feat! Now isn’t TypeScript essentially JavaScript? 😅 #flamewar1 note0 followersenter to follow

A friend had the #mobile8 notes4 followersenter to follow app built and running for #iOS2 notes0 followersenter to follow. It was relatively easy they said. We also probably have a way to publish to the Apple App Store through an organization account. Exciting! Soon we'll have both Android and iOS apps. Thank you and keep up the good work!

Big release for the #mobile8 notes4 followersenter to follow flutter #tlog63 notes17 followersenter to follow app. Writes are now native! Frontend post filters, account details, etc. Eager to hear what you guys think to iron out inevitable quirks.
