Man, I LOVE naps! In fact, I mostly subsist on four or five 1-1/2 hour naps each day instead of one long over-night sleep period these days. I didn't set out to have a sleep schedule, but here I am. :-)
recently switched my arrow keys from their own dedicated layer to under hjkl myself, it's so much comfier 🤌
i like micro. i have arrow keys bound to a layer beneath my homerow so i get a similar feel to vim without actually being modal, and i get to keep my normie shortcuts. not a big fan of ides, theres just too much going on for me

this is more of an indictment of traditional keyboard patterns, which i wholly agree with.
Through 10 years of I gained a literal feel for Lisp. After that 10 years, has now cured my left arm strain caused by holding down modifier keys.
team really, so on the vim side of the fence? i will say that emacs' value proposition is great, from what i've read and seen, and i AM open to trying it out sometime, and imo it gets a lot of unnecessary hate from vim users for bundling everything and the kitchen sink.

oh i was being unserious, tea, coffee, it's all good! i haven't tried much instant coffee, but i used to adore espresso coffee, especially a good macchiato.
don't get me wrong - I'm a coffee drinker too. If i have a choice then espresso. Generally, I drink instant "Sainsbury's Medium Roast" to be specific. (I'm in the UK, and instant is actually quite good here)

kakoune? it has its fair share of users, it addresses the only two gripes i had with the vim editing model: flips the action order to object->verb, and improves command discoverability

might as well label them Assisted Development Interfaces (ADIs) at that point, IDE sounds like a misnomer for that
I think they mean the transition that all IDE's are making towards an agentic interface, hiding the code completely as humans will not have to interact with it since the AI will be doing a better job at everything, even auditing it.

[1/2] accepting that communication clarity is a spectrum where language skill isn't the only variable. it's influenced by dialect, accent, colloquialism usage, etc., & having to repeat myself to someone occasionally doesn't imply a skill issue at either end of the conversation

felt, i feel like this too often. fwiw, i've realised that it's less of a communication skill issue and more of a confidence issue impairing my communication.
Not enough for my goal apparently! Which is to find a job in an english speaking setting. I've been ghosted by many recruiters. Orally, I don't project confidence, I stutter a lot and have difficulty finding my words at times. Saw textlog as an opportunity to work on it :)

There are many distractions. Much is way too verbose. A calm, quiet and “distraction less” experience suits me better. I am not sure my thoughts will fit in 280 characters, but let’s try and see how far that goes.
