Still in Quebec City, which has a pretty sizable street population once you come down from the hill where the tour groups go. We had to basically step over some guys sharing a glass pipe on the only stairs up the hill yesterday; I have teenagers so this bothered me. Later, my youngest and I were talking and he says "why don't the police do something about that?"

He's showing me the first season of Mob Psycho, so I say You know how Mob's little brother Ritsu wants to clean up the school so there are no people who will bully Mob, and so he allies with the power hungry student council president and frames all the bullies to get them expelled and the whole situation eventually becomes really corrupt and authoritarian and Ritsu feels to blame even though he started out with good intentions? attend to the pending work that I am avoiding around home
improve my understanding of using agents in claude code and codex cli
dig into navier stokes equations from the first principles (I am excited for this)

the more you use ai to create stuff, the less you touch the creativity void inside you

thinking on deploying excalidraw on my homeserver, so I can store drawings without bothering with export/import. Yes, excalidraw+ for $7/mo; but nowadays I pay only one sub - for Claude; everything else is personal software.

Well, done, Claude did while I drove a car. It even added save/open file from the server (stored in SQLite). Deployed on my homelab server.

Then I see a beautiful text-based interface and something about it feels so natural, so inevitable, so perfectly clear, and I'm instantly captivated by its simplicity and clarity. Hypertext is fascinating.

"Everything worth doing is worth doing badly." Meditate even if you have the time, even if you can only do two minutes. Train even if you're tired and you're not gonna do it well. Start that project even if you're not ready. Don't wait for perfection.
