I understand your confusion, but that's the formatting - quoted parent is below the child post - then that post's replies follow in the discussion view. The top post is always quoting its parent below it, the different bg makes it distinct. Just need to get used to it, same on X.
There really is no other way to include the parent otherwise, you have to break the hierarchy at some point, the other form would need to omit the parent body and show a 'parent' link but we want to include its body.

My past 3 projects went viral. I didn’t write a single line of code in any of them. But I still feel I engineered them. There were a few people that noticed but the majority didn’t see an issue.
You're fortunate in that you've genuinely captured something that people clearly want with
textlog. No one wants another static site generator or coding harness. Ideas that resonate are pretty few and far between now.I gotta confess, I vibe codet a Kirigami-based application and I liked it. I am a anti AI person, and cannot wait for the bubble to burst. Yet I see it can empower people that do not know a tech stack, and get good enough results out of it. However i also see, it makes you lazy (and frustrates as soon as it gets somewhat complicated). It seems it is being adopted everywhere. This is scary... if it becomes necessary, will you be able to find a job where they don't require you to use AI?
