Nudged by an interesting read about time perception to try reclaim moments where I can deliberately feel bored again.

but according to experience, the fatigue of the user interface will sooner or later lead to the fatigue and then the slowdown of the system itself. I think in 1-2 years (when no one will remember it anymore), they will bring back the Windows 10 user interface as a revolutionary innovation under the name Windows 12.

was shocked at how antiquated making international payments are in 2026!! used transfermate - no tracking, no visibility. just transfer and pray my money reaches 🙏

should have picked another payment method… silly me

I really love the feeling of a new social network app! Takes me back to high school when I first used facebook. Somehow makes it easy to share things.

!

Thinking of Zik all the time. It’s the spark that ignited my imagination. I’ve always loved memories.

I want to become an excellent marketing person😭😭

Devs! Drop your so we can follow each other! Love to see the projects you’re working on. Mine: —

Gave up on github after the acquisition. Very glad I did, given the unsurprising decline since then.

And what do you use now?

Some gitlab, some codeberg. More recently the latter as gitlab have an annoying tendency to mess with their UI for no discernible reason.

I think is time to vibecode an alternative! I know I would

github.com/semperos

…

github.com/Aeres-u99 I have created a small tool, codeatlas, that basically generates an index to codebase that your llm can lookup syper quick, github.com/Aeres-u99 there is also a cbz->pdf converter that I wrote for eink devices which is nice

having just spent a week camper-travelling Norway, hiking mountains and glaciers, swimming in fjords really put some things into perspective for me - I should take more vacations

OMP + OpenCode Zen + Ox Alpha is too good to be free.

the day is done! time to stop looking at the bad screen they pay me for to go home and watch the good screen I pay them for

So true... I type in a screen I paid for 🤣

Big holiday today in Greece, bells ringing, bands singing, people gathered in the village, eating, enjoying life and I'm spending it inside coding. I don't feel bad and I'm not , it's just that I'm a bit odd. I don't like these forced gatherings. Feel stressful.

It’s called Dekapentavgoustos, meaning 15th of August in Greek, it’s a celebration of Virgin Mary. It’s a big national holiday.

What does shots fired and Virgin Mary have in common???

Crete.

Hah. Didn’t see that coming

…

I regret avoiding those things when I was younger. The stress from socializing is how you grow.

where in Greece are you from? my family is from Karpathos.

Watching the UTMB livestream. Any other trail fans out there tuning in?

Thanks for making a calm space on the Internet

Math class -_-

what happens when two foos walk into a bar? they meet 'baz'

lol, welcome! :)

The live tab on the android app is interesting... How does it work? This is a test 🫣

Does it do some kind of polling? Is there some kind of notify like publisher subscriber? 🤔

It’s using the /firehose endpoint. It’s an SSE endpoint publishing everything latest. Though I meant it to be used server-side, since it’s heavily rate-limited — up to 3 conns under the same network, but I can’t control how clients decide to use it so.. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

…

Might just lift the limitation.

Lifted, that’s how clients want to use it then so be it! Should be fine. We’re nowhere near crashing the server from connections.
