I sit in meetings all day long, I roll my eyes and die a bit and synergize and circle back
inner life
sacrosanct
outer face
smiling stone
no need to rush:
executives
don't need to work
just synergize and circle back

Same. I really wish this platform would last a long time... I've seen so many cool initiatives get posted on HN, only to be taken offline a few months later.

What you playing? My recent #gamenotesfollow was Mina the Hollowerโintricate, dense, demanding. Bangers on the soundtrack. Good stuff.

Been working on an old mastodon hosting project I tried to start a few years ago, with a focus on privacy. This is the first big project I've tried to come back to with the help of coding agents and find it invigorating, and gives me the confidence to actually finish the project. Who knows if it will ever make a dollar, but it sure is fun to watch my ideas come to life.
Sick makes me calm. My mind goes quiet for some time. I can sit and look at the horizon. Or just contemplate the different shades of white of my ceiling while laying on my bed. I miss the silence of my youth.
i recently finished hemingways "the old man and the sea". very highly recommend for anybody that wants something short and memorable. left me feeling something between inspired and nihilistic
This strangely reminded me of golden days of Twitter. There was a point I absolutely love Twitter. This is also a reminder for me to pick up a book instead of reading a load of random stuff online.
Thank you!
I think I may be use this for now to spill out my guts a bit. Set out boundaries guys. I was basically ignoring how important that is, whatever is at work, family, relations. Be loved being you, you don't have to meet any expectations beyond yours.
Went to a store yesterday, ๐ค this close to buy a Delonghi Dedica but when I touched it, it felt so so rattly and cheap and it instantly turned me off. So I did some more research and now I think a used Gaggia Classic Pro will do. #coffeenotesfollow lovers, why is your hobby so hard to break into ๐ช
Might be a good outcome to this. Water remediation folks want to take out 30 sqft of drywall to ensure the space btwn floors is fully dry. But my architect father-in-law thinks this is yagni and we can get away with just using a fan and space heater to let it dry out on its own ๐ค
Thankfully, the zero cost option seems to have worked out. Had fans pointed up at the ceiling for a couple days. Will have to patch up some water-damaged drywall, but think we can avoid opening up the ceiling ๐
