I made a thing:

굿 아담.

Good Adam.

I surprised my self this morning. I was looking for some content on YouTube with Mario (pi) and saw something that was 2 months old. First reaction was “that is too old.” I used to take my time, slow it down and have time for thoughts. Is this what’s happen to you when consume too much?

Patience is a muscle that needs exercise to keep functioning.

…

yes. everything goes so fast nowadays that we don't stop to appreciate stuff that happened the last month, two months, a year, 5 years ago.

With the recent speed of all the AI stuff 2 months is old but the whole thing has gotten exhausting at this point.

Érdekes ez a 4, 2-es irodalmi, valamint programozási hagyomány, amire Douglas Adams hívta fel a figyelmet, nálam ebből a hagyományból 4 a pszichiátriai, 2 a rehabilitációs téma, ami érdekes módon maga is 4, 2-es, ami olyan, mintha rekurzív kezdene lenni, de mégsem az teljesen www.textlog.hu/a-4-adel-es-2-szuzett/

This 4, 2 literary and programming tradition, which Douglas Adams drew attention to, is interesting. In my case, 4 of this tradition are psychiatric and 2 are rehabilitation topics, which is interestingly itself a 4, 2, which seems to be starting to be recursive, but it is not completely www.textlog.hu/a-4-adel-es-2-szuzett/

Hitting a workout streak. I started using ladder app and have been consistent for the last two weeks. Three years ago I was 75 lbs heavier. Now trying to build muscle. Sitting and staring at a screen all day… I did that a bit too much ;)

Nice work! Working out, once I got into it, was always the fun part. Eating healthy remains a challenge...

Thanks . I find cooking myself to be the biggest help. And not buying those sweeeeeets

This message was hidden with a possible self harm warn banner. (Better safe than sorry, I guess). Cheers on the positive change BTW!

Congrats! New habits are tough to form, wishing you success in keeping bad weight off and putting some muscle on!

Thanks

…

good work

I need to start working out, I’m so weak sigh!

created a quiz:

Which ancient civilization placed coins on the eyes of the dead? Halloween 🎃

(replies are hidden until you answer the quiz)

just things out for now

one-point-five-shotted a local node app for creating social posts. drawing from static pages (hey this exists) or new blog posts (timely). with copy/paste to x, and one click post to bluesky and mastodon, tag manager and stale/archive/reject/refresh options. An idea and a solution in about 10 minutes. Madness.

hello world

I am trying to learn emacs for the fun of it. The tutorial is brilliant and clear. Any tips that would help me learning more things. I know all I need is practice but if you may have used it, you may know a thing or two.

Microsoft Word Online (web version) is horrible.

It was the only way to reproduce the authentic horrible experience of the offline version.

🤣 Did not remember the offline version being this bad, but maybe it went downhill in the past 5 years I have not used it.

…

I never used the online version, but the last time I used the offline version it already was a horrible experience. This was about 5 years ago, before I had moved entirely to Linux. It was so bad I downloaded a pirated version of some old MS Office 2007 Blue Edition to have something acceptable. I unironically prefer Libre Office.

The Perfect Hiring System

It's cute because you have to put it in a sandbox right away (Virtualbox is a sandbox) so it doesn't mess up everything on the machine or the server or anywhere else, but these AI chatbots are basically peaceful little animals, right?

Denshattack! - easily gets my OST of the year vote. Absolute pleasure to both listen to and play.

I've found myself really liking the "megamerge" workflow. Not an alias, just a whole thing.

I like this concept

"Think of yourself as dead. You have lived your life. Now, take what's left and live it properly." - Marcus Aurelius

What a dude.

hi from Augsburg

hi! welcome :)

Finally merged the jetpack PR in hallucinate.site — now you can fly around!

This all is superduper impressive!

I've linked up my blog (jeff-mitchell.dev) to textlog. I hope to use the two things together now to build a bit more of a writing habit. The 500 character increase is nice, room to breath but not an essay. Gotta build the muscles slowly :)
