Bad night, first the boy woke up at midnight and went with him, then at 4 am heavy rain started so went to bring the bike to the terrace, then thunderstorm and kids were scary, then the cat meowed at 6am. I’m okay.

What’s the difference between a script-kiddy and a real #developernotesfollow? Abstraction. You can program your whole life without learning how to meaningfully abstract problems into simpler pieces that TRULY make the problem easier to understand. I’m not talking about design patterns or #OOPnotesfollow vs #FPnotesfollow. These tools can help. But to really simplify something for others, you need an intellectual empathy that many simply never figure out.

just finished the book “This is what inequality looks like” by Teo You Yenn. will gather my thoughts and write more about it.

I never have enough time but I’d love to do a bit more recreational programming with esoterical languages like kitten, #uiuanotesfollow, and #jqnotesfollow. AoC and Project Euler are good because they just require an answer but there’s also loads of simple puzzles online that rely on being able to submit the code in common languages. I’ve been wondering, however, if I could use an LLM to take those problems and create a verification harness for any language I like.
