I never used the online version, but the last time I used the offline version it already was a horrible experience. This was about 5 years ago, before I had moved entirely to Linux. It was so bad I downloaded a pirated version of some old MS Office 2007 Blue Edition to have something acceptable. I unironically prefer Libre Office.

So technically I wouldn't call the main terminal a data center, but more of an interrogation room for MI agents. I'm currently stuck installing Windows 11, and I'd like to download some books and scripts just to be safe before I start building the interrogation room. It's really a sandbox here, with nowhere to go except if I send it directly to a web application.

WezTerm for local and remote multiplexing really is the ideal experience - it's so much better than using zellij, tmux, zmx, and friends.. I don't think they pitch this feature hard enough on their site. I think the in-terminal multiplexers have their place - e.g. if you need to access from mobile (no WezTerm there) or on machines where you simply don't want to install WezTerm for some reason. WezTermrm could probably eliminate that last one by packaging just the mux server.

But as long as people can still use the site it's OK, right? Seems like the problem is often self-inflicted, either because the site is so bloated that answering even GET-requests is burdensome, or because they're trying to monetize the data and so must block non-paying scrapers.

moved to berlin for my bachelors and it took some time to find footing. Im not the best student but I ended up getting lucky to snag a student assistant position by applying/presenting at a summer school (targeted more toward master/phd). then that became my thesis and it dragged quite a long time, bureacracy and supervision and such. But the results were interesting and i learned a ton along the way. Im really happy I yolo applied to that program

Say more. I've been using it this year "at scale" and it sucks in the way that everything sucks when the whole company starts using it for everything. I haven't used Ansible in over a decade, but am curious what you like about it better.

Ansible just melds with my way of thinking better. I have a really hard time wrapping my head around nested loops in HCL and the overall "ugliness" of the language. Plus, I kind of like being in control of the order things are created.

Iโ€™m ambivert. When I spend time outdoors and with people I want to keep doing that, I become very extrovert. Canโ€™t code in that mode. Itโ€™s hard to switch back to introvert but when that happens time flies really quick. A month can pass and it feels like a week.

This may become a thing. Have you seen the results of PISA? School performance is going down in the OCDE and richer students are going down faster (they have more tech available). Maybe the future si for those who ditch the computers.
