Is open source dead?
Everyone has the power now to make their own stacks of things.
The people aspect of open source is dead or dying. I don't think the bunny is going back in the box.
Old school metallian, hobbyist developer writing things mostly in Rust…mostly
Morning everyone, I've started a project to bring back "classic" era Instagram, from say the 2012 - 2013 time frame, long before it was ensh**ified.
It's nowhere near ready for public consumption, so I've closed off registrations. Right now it's mainly for me to show my photography.

It now has a frickin' data model, that's documented, as well as installers for your platform of choice.
Try it, break it, I'll be doing the same. Let me know where it broke for you.I'm not sure the world needs another static site generator, but I made one.

Giving the project some TLC this week, doing some bug squashing.
If you want and SSG that doesn't fight you, give it a go.
I've linked up my blog (jeff-mitchell.dev) to
textlog. I hope to use the two things together now to build a bit more of a writing habit. The 500 character increase is nice, room to breath but not an essay. Gotta build the muscles slowly :)I subscribe to the Tony Stark school of engineering. "Sometimes you have to run before you walk." Earlier this year, I built my own static site generator. I hate literally every static site generator out there (not joking). get-taxus.org
