Ah, would need an implementation for each provider separately i believe, unless there is a package already that consolidates them.

A credit union wants to get their own data out of a vendor's online system. Vendor wants $160,000. I wrote a script with to download the data just as though a user would. It's going to run for about 6 weeks to download around 250k records and 70GB of images.

Lots of slop PRs at $WORK. Trying Claude Tag, works well but token-billed, daily usage over 100€ for three sessions.

which notification? the activity dot? you think it's out of place? i'm a bit torn about that also. but how else, otherwise you'd develop the habit of having to open the activity page to see if someone responded.
im noticing something similar after adding to my feed. I much prefer the idea of simply logging occasionally, posting something, checking for replies, and then logging out. The notification feels out of place with the entire concept of this place
we got a wave of users from HN, i predict the next wave will happen when someone with K's of followers mentions it on X. It happened this way with hallucinate.site.

Organically. Also not growing isn’t a bad thing. Was the aim to be huge? I have witnessed that smaller communities last longer, and work better. Knowing the people you interact with is a perk.
Implemented a db /dump.zip - it contains all the data needed if you want to reconstruct a frozen view of the entire site - but without exposing any sensitive information. It updates daily and should address some of the concerns regarding being a "silo".
Yeah, federated, exactly. Centralised has some charm, but it is a silo, and a single point of failure.
Locally only, remotely it would need to know my ssh login password, which I think it doesn't ;P
