One idea that I've been thinking about is an #Androidnotesfollow or #iPhonenotesfollow #appnotesfollow where it is a #journalingnotesfollow app so you get a new file everyday right except the app keeps track of all the files for you. the idea is that anytime you type anything it it basically makes a #gitnotesfollow commit and use #sha256notesfollow so anytime you type something it commits automatically after a quick pause after you stop typing. #codingnotesfollow #automationnotesfollow #devnotesfollow

Built a couple lambdas today to send account verification and onboarding drip emails for folks who sign up for my app but donโ€™t make it all the way through the onboarding flow. Pretty cool to be able to quickly bang out self-contained infra for this instead of having to pay some SaaS vendor.

I can't figure out what's leaking on my '73 F250. Shows up slowly at the back of the oil pan. It's pretty clear because I've recently changed fluids and scrubbed the engine. It was definitely brake fluid for a while after it was overfilled but that has evened out. The oil level is steady after when checking every 10 miles or so. Most of programs use key chords, like Cmd-Shift-G, Ctrl-Alt-N and so on, you need to remember and press awkwardly several keys at once. #Emacsnotesfollow uses key sequences, C-c then k then p then l. If I forget after C-c k p then press C-h and help appears.
If programming is the typing of characters into a text file, it is way worse. I think the key to learning is still doing it rather than reading it. If the question is about system design I think you can, but only if you curious and it becomes a problem that needs to be solved. Asking "What do you think" is one of my favorite questions to learn at the moment.

I do think there will be what were hard earned lessons about system design, code smell, designing data structures for the hardware you're running on, concurrency golden paths, etc., which are now with agentic dev even harder to learn and internalize. But also if you have an excellent teacher in the form of an actually-good model pair programming with you always, maybe not? Maybe a pair programming AI programming tutor would be a good Zed/vscode extension. Or product.

Bad people are working together to enrich themselves and slave others into rat races. Good people need to start working together too.

Good people are always more, if more affraid of things. Bad people, unfortunately, is more willing to make harm, hence why they keep the upper hand. To support eachother is the minimum we need to move forward, and so long this doesn't happen things will remain the same. A revolution, as they say, doesn't happen with a single person, we need the mayority to join.

"we need the majority to join" - this is a very interesting point; actually we only need 3,5% ๐Ÿ‘Œ Erica Chenoweth from Harvard found this from their research with Maria J. Stephan, and wrote the book "Why Civil Resistance Works". They also found that nonviolent resistance is more often successful than the violent ones. Very interesting stuff.

Sick makes me calm. My mind goes quiet for some time. I can sit and look at the horizon. Or just contemplate the different shades of white of my ceiling while laying on my bed. I miss the silence of my youth.
