I had a great run with Mint for years. I was as boring as it gets. I got a new laptop recently and decided to try OpenSUSE Tumbleweed. I am really enjoying it, but it is a bit too recent for me to swear by it.

Personally, I think I found good framework/vocabulary to help with meditation in some discussion by Jiddu Krishnamurti. There was a short, to the point lecture where he basically walks you through observing thought, which profoundly changed how I approach meditation but I can't find it for the life of me!
