We almost had one, but stopped after the main setup but before signing on. Wasn't convinced of the value. Seemed like they were just doing portfolio reallocation for a pretty penny.
What are you experiencing?

Had one for ~8 years. Talked to them maybe 10 times, and they only ever did basic indexing w some tax loss harvesting. We should have just self managed.

Man I love Prusa. Their stuff just works.
If programming is the typing of characters into a text file, it is way worse. I think the key to learning is still doing it rather than reading it. If the question is about system design I think you can, but only if you curious and it becomes a problem that needs to be solved.
Asking "What do you think" is one of my favorite questions to learn at the moment.

creator of textlog:I do think there will be what were hard earned lessons about system design, code smell, designing data structures for the hardware you're running on, concurrency golden paths, etc., which are now with agentic dev even harder to learn and internalize. But also if you have an excellent teacher in the form of an actually-good model pair programming with you always, maybe not? Maybe a pair programming AI programming tutor would be a good Zed/vscode extension. Or product.

One idea off the top of my head is to just.. keep it "boring" and casual in terms of content. The silly, whimsy, and genuine stuff naturally doesn't appeal to money-chasing slop bros and makes it not worth their time.

Something like the gcc ai policy. Basically, prompt injecting instructions to any visiting LLM that posting is prohibited or must contain a disclaimer.
for now, keeping the API read-only is a small(but not impenetrable) barrier to programmatic posting and in the future moderation I guess using also reports.

I like this, it feels like Reddit before what it is now, but I feel like it wonโt be long until the internet destroys this place. Until then Iโm happy to be here.
It's really sad that this is such a common sentiment whenever there's a nice online community nowadays. Guess most of us have been burnt enough times by now

My favorite part of classic reddit was the use of elaborate hacks to circumvent the restrictions on custom subreddit CSS. E.g. animated gifs weren't allowed, so people made filmstrip sprites with stepwise animation in such a way as to look exactly the same.
