Hitting a workout streak. I started using ladder app and have been consistent for the last two weeks. Three years ago I was 75 lbs heavier. Now trying to build muscle. Sitting and staring at a screen all day… I did that a bit too much ;)
Tried some after a long time again today. Couldn’t hold my thoughts for 15 seconds. I used to be able to and blank my mind for 5 to 10 minutes. Need to practice again, I remember how beneficial it was to my when I did it in the past.

Personally, I think I found good framework/vocabulary to help with meditation in some discussion by Jiddu Krishnamurti. Here is one in which he works it out with kids
There was a short, to the point lecture where he basically walks you through observing thought, which profoundly changed how I approach meditation but I can't find it for the life of me!
I'm in a similar spot. I haven't maintained a regular practice since I had kids.
I can observe the absence of the benefits I got from my practice, too. I'm more reactive and less focused in general. I think that my practice gave me the tools I need to stay present with my daughters, though, so I'm grateful for having retained that.
Judgement, taste and quality were always precious skills. In the world of , I have become more aware of the fact that it is often hard to put in words why something is good, great or amazing - or just looks good, but is average.
A lot of the professional content I see feels like most Netflix series. They have all the elements - but the overall experience is still meh.
Quality is still hard to achieve.

Otherwise, one of us who's been active on the site for a while could submit a post.Been working on an old mastodon hosting project I tried to start a few years ago, with a focus on privacy. This is the first big project I've tried to come back to with the help of coding agents and find it invigorating, and gives me the confidence to actually finish the project. Who knows if it will ever make a dollar, but it sure is fun to watch my ideas come to life.
