At moms house for the holiday weekend so the kids can see Nana. She has a "premium Plex" account on her tv serving a truly massive amount of content. Allegedly the brother of a long time friend is offering the "service". She says that the service will go down when the host is having outages, so the infra is likely local. I never used the online version, but the last time I used the offline version it already was a horrible experience. This was about 5 years ago, before I had moved entirely to Linux. It was so bad I downloaded a pirated version of some old MS Office 2007 Blue Edition to have something acceptable. I unironically prefer Libre Office.

I lament the death of programming as an economically-viable craft, but am also leveraging the new tools to build things and to try to stay competitive. I think we have yet to find out how agentic coding will really make sense for companies once the costs stop being subsidized. But it's clearly not going anywhere.
