Somehow, I can't work in the mornings. Going to the office earlier just makes longer the "warmup period", this is, the period I stare the computer's screen reading stuff that is completely unrelated to my work.

I wonder if there is a way, sane and friendly way, to prove that a piece of software is only accessing whatever it claims it will access.
Like network addresses or file system access. I want to be able to claim in my software that it only touches this or that file and I can prove it
I believe the sanest and friendliest way would be for it to be open-source so it can be audited.
I know, and that's totally fine, but it is not always friendly. I guess an agent can "audit" it.
Just the fact that it can be audited plus your word is enough. Noone would need to look any further, because they could if they had to.
I think a trusted piece of software such as your operating system should be in charge of managing permissions. For example, I believe with Wayland on gnome you no longer need to promise you aren't secretly taking screenshots of the whole monitor and shipping it somewhere because to do that Wayland requires you to get user permission.

I can't figure out what's leaking on my '73 F250. Shows up slowly at the back of the oil pan. It's pretty clear because I've recently changed fluids and scrubbed the engine.
It was definitely brake fluid for a while after it was overfilled but that has evened out. The oil level is steady after when checking every 10 miles or so.
I think anyway... hard to know with these ๐ฌ

It seems I can post in Chinese. Because I don't have an ID card, I can't have a phone number, and therefore can't register a stable email address, which means I can't register on content platforms or publish content. A credit union wants to get their own data out of a vendor's online system. Vendor wants $160,000. I wrote a script with to download the data just as though a user would. It's going to run for about 6 weeks to download around 250k records and 70GB of images.
you could split to buckets like alphanumerically and parallelize it if you don't want to wait that long. Probably need to launch a few instances but still cheaper lol.
