That site makes me dizzy with all the animations and fly ins/outs.
When I write I just add html files to the swiley.net folder in public.swiley.net. Sometimes I syndicate elsewhere (I was doing Substack for a while before Notes took over.)
I think short urls are still memorable and good. My phone doesn't surrogate all of my recall.

URLs spat out by URL shorteners are something entirely different.

The longer the text you need to store, the bigger a QR code needs to be in order to scan reliably.
Also, you might be more confident in being able to keep a short URL stable (it's already a step of indirection, so if you want to reorg your site you can just update where the short URL points to). But people don't really take care to maintain short URLs anyway, apparently.
hi o/ im from south america, i see the #launchnotesfollow on HN. I really like the vibes and the idea. Ill probably be posting here often, while in the office. cya
Very cool! At least the landing page is amazing! I couldn’t try the app because I don’t have photographs locally, I thought it would be able to fetch my photos from Instagram, that part I found a bit confusing.
TPMS indicator came on,
which means an unplanned Costco trip 🙁

Just check, and top off as needed, the tyres pressure. Run it for a few miles. If it doesn’t go away, then take that trip.

No gas station near me has nitrogen so it had to be Costco. I topped off air and also filled gas while I was there. It’s only 5 miles from me, so overall not bad.
Brikka.
Someone on HN mentioned it as great design. I looked it up and bought it after a while. It's been such a delight. Even the occasional brew gone wrong adds to the experience.
v60 is also nice when I need it to slow down or be the experience a bit meditative. But Chinese tea is the best for that.
Aaron Sorkin's The West Wing is among the subtlest of all propaganda—it is propaganda that everyone sincerely wishes could be true, and is dangerous specifically because it is not and cannot be.
Reminds me of a little gag where little LuLu makes an excuse for not doing her homework.
Homework? I thought you said housework. I spent all night vacuuming.

Woke up during the night for a short trip to the loo, got 'resume’ going. All done in the morning. Ahh, coffee tastes better now!

Ordered JBL Charge 6, waiting for delivery today. Will mount into my bike and will listen to music while commuting 25km to the office. I'm a victim of marketing, seeing an ad, buying stuff.
Previously bought Do Nothing Club cap after friends visiting us and we discussed it while eating pizza; and then my wife got an AD on Instagram. Meta is listening for conversations to sell ads.
