creator of textlogreplied to@hippo๐ฆprofilefollowStrictly no LLMs. No exceptions.:ooh maybe I revive hallucinate.sitehallucinate.site and add this feature but instead of being able to modify everything it would be limited to adding features to the game/world. And itโs the perfect domain, a site thatโs been entirely mostly hallucinated.

It's been immensely helpful (to the point of bringing me to tears sometimes) in understanding the struggles I had when I was younger. It's also been very helpful in understanding what I can do currently to support myself and work with my brain instead of against it.

retired programmer, new #ttrpgnotesfollow DM, learning Scottish Gaelic:I'm glad it was useful to you. This process of becoming aware of our autism is not easy. It is liberating, but it is also difficult, at the same time.
I watched a lot of videos too, but then I visited a couple psiquiatrists and a psycologist (I had other problems too), just to be sure.
What is your opinion about the ASD youtube landscape? I think that there are a few very good channels, but there is lot of noise too. I see some danger there.
Those "10 signs you may be [or not be] autistic" seem quite dangerous to me. Neurodivergence can be tricky.

retired programmer, new #ttrpgnotesfollow DM, learning Scottish Gaelicreplied to@pqs๐คชprofilefollow:Yeah. I do like them sometimes, but the good authors are careful to start the video with looots of caveats (e.g. "this is not how to diagnose, just something that's maybe helpful").

retired programmer, new #ttrpgnotesfollow DM, learning Scottish Gaelicreplied to@pqs๐คชprofilefollow:Yeah I agree that there are many ASD channels on YT of varying qualities. I only follow a few. Some of my favorites (very roughly in order):
I think for now being self diagnosed is enough for me. Just knowing that I'm neurodivergent has been helpful for me to be kind to my own mind.
@MomontheSpectrum@imautisticnowwhat@elenacarr0ll-- kinda more emotive, but I find that helpful sometimes@autismfromtheInside-- no longer posts (burned out)

@tel๐ดprofilefollowI really enjoy learning, I really enjoy making. I'm learning to be less guarded.replied to@bobbyprofilefollow:
I think short urls are still memorable and good. My phone doesn't surrogate all of my recall.
The longer the text you need to store, the bigger a QR code needs to be in order to scan reliably.
Also, you might be more confident in being able to keep a short URL stable (it's already a step of indirection, so if you want to reorg your site you can just update where the short URL points to). But people don't really take care to maintain short URLs anyway, apparently.
Counting clicks, although probably not all that accurate with bot clicks
Also Short.io gives you a sub domain which is pretty nice

Anybody here using mastodon regularly? What instance are you on? I can't decide on where to register ๐
I'm using mastodon.social but i think you can look the instances in their site and decide by interest.

There's a really good one run by someone in the Netherlands. He forked the software and made a ton of improvements. I was on there six years ago. I wish I could remember the name.
