Maybe implementing a subset of Markdown would be a good thing. I am thinking about bold, italics, inline code, and code block, mostly. Oh, and links.

I think so. It could even be made a setting, defaulting it to off. I think it would be useful, especially is self-hosted for a tech community.

I agree that minimalism is hard. Thatโ€™s why the subset was explicitly recommended small. Yet, I believe it is extremely useful to have.

I've tested MD and honestly I don't like it. Bold/italics add unnecessary noise/clutter and the font is already monospace, suited for code, so inline code & code fences are not needed. If 3rd party clients want to implement them it's fine but I'm sensitive to visual noise.

Maybe adjust the last part to โ€œmost Chairs that are worth a lotโ€ฆโ€ - because I guess there are chairs that are inexpensive but still good and thus could have cost a a lot?

my guess is the inexpensive chairs can be a good value for the price you pay but I doubt there are many of any chairs that are inexpensive and yet worth a lot

And yet, homes remain chronically under-managed. Cars have service records. Portfolios have dashboards. Homes have a junk drawer full of manuals and receipts. This leads to problems that degrade a home's value over time. Deferred maintenance snowballs from small issues to emergency repairs costing thousands.
