Nixos without LLM's would have been a pain I've been using nix for a few years, and I definitely still don't understand 90% of what I'm doing.

I absolutely love #nixosenter to follow for fact you can just rebuild into a clean state at any moment. I also share configs between 2 linux devices and 2 mac devices. Initially started with hyprland, but eventually switched to kde plasma. Nixos without LLM's would have been a pain tho, so would definitely recommend using one.

Since I played both Doom and Quake 2 back in the day, it does feel like I've finally bridged that gap, to where I think I understand what people mean when they talk about Romero's influence in the design.
This is a very silly thing to be doing in 2026, but I finally tried some Quake 1 recently. Pretty cool, it's amazing how much it really does just end up feeling like Doom in 3D.
Another thing I think it makes really clear is just how much room-over-room changes the way the game spaces feel, even if no one's actively thinking about that while they play.
