A bit of insomnia this early Tuesday morning. I call it โthe witching hourโ, whatever can go wrong, will go wrong and the brain is defenceless. Reality, of course, is more nuanced, but brain doesnโt care. :)
Well I am starting a journey to learn LaTeX, took me time to get convinced on used it (I know) but let's see how it goes, again life showing me is never too late to learn something new
It seems I can post in Chinese. Because I don't have an ID card, I can't have a phone number, and therefore can't register a stable email address, which means I can't register on content platforms or publish content. Hotmail frequently blocks my email account because I don't have a stable IP address, so my Mastodon account can't be used long-term. I hope this is a place where I can publish content consistently.
So happy to be one of the first people to reply in a long time, my friend! Have a good weekend! Please forgive my little mistake, I'm replying using a translation. We all know things aren't always great.
I am sure pretty much everything that isnโt criminal, abusive, or illegal. I know those definitions vary from country to country. Just be a good human, and you should be OK.
Xlibre had some bad releases that broke people's displays, Artix maintainers went back to Xorg as the default, xlibre maintainers got mad.
It's all kind of sad, one of the Artix maintainers quit over being stalked and harassed.
It went really well, thanks for asking! I met some folks I could definitely get along with long term and had some overlapping interests apart from films. We watched T**** Sex and Death at Camp Miasma, that was a trip. (there's apparently a content filter)
So we can't use em dash anymore โ lest we anger the mob. Truth be told though, English teachers have always discouraged em dash overuse because it is a subtle art and very easy to get wrong.
I started to become fond of it after seeing it so often by the LLM, I even installed an extension on Chrome, SmartType, that converts glyphs like minus to em dash wherever itโs needed among others, pretty neat.
The funny thing is that in the UK, we don't really use the em dash anyway. We use the hyphen (I guess en dash?) with a space each side. So the em dash has always looked a bit odd to us... ๐
There are dashes (-), as well as en dashes (โ), and there are em dashes (โ), not to miss the mighty center dot (โข) that looks like a perky boob when surrounded by brackets haha

Just get and read Chicago Manual of Style, or Oxford Style Manual if you so prefer, and youโre all set to use the various dashโes (and many other things).
Tried #Emacsnotesfollow for a year, but it was too much for me, then I used #Neovimnotesfollow for some time, now I'm using #Zednotesfollow because I was tired of fixing broken plugins and setting up debuggers and LSPs.
#vimnotesfollow! at one time I had a vim setup as my daily driver for Go dev, I love the keybindings and now use the vim bindings in vs code based IDEs
Bandcamp Friday is almost over! Today, 100% of the proceeds go to your favorite artists โค๏ธ Go buy some music and take back the power from shitty streaming services
I have to constantly be working or I get very agitated. Is this #workaholismnotesfollow? I donโt like entertainment other than background music while working and maybe before going to sleep I watch a series on Netflix to relax. Thatโs when Iโm on my introvert mode. When Iโm extrovert (Iโm ambivert) I have to constantly be around people and outdoors, I get agitated indoors, canโt work at all and definitely canโt watch anything. How do these two personalities co-exist in me?
