I did something else that didn't need JS - the first tab becomes a button pointing to "write" and moved the "skip to content" to the second tab. So the workflow is "tab -> enter" takes you to write. Hope this helps!
I donโt see authenticated requests in the logs except from the notifications beacon, and Iโm hiding anonymous because of the crawlers, perhaps youโre getting rate limited yes. Iโll see if I can increase the limits for authenticated requests carrying the bearer token.

The addition of the recent activity bit on profile view does not work well when you have a description in your profile. On mobile when not on landscape mode the bio renders vertically, one character per line. On landscape mode it works fine.
Tested on Firefox for Android. Not sure if on other browsers it is more graceful.

I was hitting the limit way too often and I noticed a lot of posts needed 2 posts back to back to express fully. It should be plenty now, it aligns as well with Mastodonโs limit if we want in the future to enter the Fediverse/ActivityPub.
Are there any plans to filter by language? What will happen when people start posting in several languages?
Maybe introduce a setting, to select languages you'd like to see posts in, and/or a
translate action appears in the posts that are not in those. Or simply don't follow those accounts and they stay only in @fastidiousprofilefollow

I've found that the connection drops from the server's heartbeat are treated as errors by my client. Pushing a fix in 0.0.6 to reconnect quick and reconcile missed msgs.

Small idea: add a form of acknowledgement for when youโve read a reply/tagged post and do not want to quote reply to it necessarily. Could be as simple as a generic checkmark that has no toxic reward pattern attached to it.
Imho, these are just cravings. Dopamine is addictive like cocaine and weโve been trained by SM to seek the acknowledgement like drug addicts seek their next dose. I feel it degrades the quality of interactions. Forums donโt have that, IRC doesnโt have that, they work fine. Itโs only recent media that added this engagement hook, โseen by A, B, Cโ, โlikedโ etc.
Doing a crazy , instead of A/B testing Iโm just randomizing the appearance and measuring each of the variant choices to see how engaging they are. Ah, there is also now a โrandomizeโ button in Account โ Appearance settings!

I use it to offload generating videos from my spoken audio offloading work from my laptop which is interesting to me. Claude wrote the bash scripts and I asked it to use podman containers as an experiment. It is fun to try.

I noticed that when I changed my handle, it redirects the old handle to my new handle. Will this always be the case?
How are old mentions handled in comments? Also, what is to stop someone from changing their handle thousands of times to โsquatโ on handles? I see thereโs a limit 2 handles per month you can create. Does the handle change count toward that?
Hi! Welcome! You can create 2 full accounts per month (from the โswitchโ link), and each account can change handle up to 2 times per month as well. Just added the later limitation. So squatting is prevented by simply being really slow to squat. The old handles redirect to your latest one and you only are allowed to go back to them. Still count as handle changes. Mentions redirect to your new one also.

You can now pin notes to the top of your profile notes and replies tabs by using the hashtag
#pin โ the newest note that has it wins on each tab. Implemented
#whisper modifier tag. Keeps that note and every reply beneath it out of /latest and /hot. If used on a reply, only its direct parent starts in the conversation; people who reply or are mentioned inside the whisper branch join it. Followers of tags in the whisper branch also receive it in for you. The conversation remains public on profiles, tag pages, threads, and permalinks. Not for private messages. Itโs simply a way to keep a conversation out of peopleโs normal feeds. โฆ
