"Sharing economy" once meant something. You'd Uber someone B→C when already driving A→B→C→D; you'd AirBNB your home when vacationing and stay at someone else's home who was doing the same. No driving just for Uber; no houses just for AirBNB. I fear this history will be forgotten.

I have to constantly be working or I get very agitated. Is this #workaholismnotesfollow? I don’t like entertainment other than background music while working and maybe before going to sleep I watch a series on Netflix to relax. That’s when I’m on my introvert mode. When I’m extrovert (I’m ambivert) I have to constantly be around people and outdoors, I get agitated indoors, can’t work at all and definitely can’t watch anything. How do these two personalities co-exist in me?

Been a bit quiet here the last week or so. Recovering from ill health, at risk of redundancy, and working on side projects. It's been a bit full on. Does anyone make pay check/cheque money from side projects? Can I use my redundancy runway to turn some websites from side hustle to salary money?

I've been on a kick lately of trying to visualize the oscillating clock, and ultimately the effectively arbitrarily complex activity of a computer processor, as modern refinements of the line shaft factory of the 19th century. Of compute as being not much more than profoundly refined "work" delivered by the electrical grid into marvelously complex machines. Does that, as a metaphor at least, feel as important to you as it has to me of late? We spend so much time in a world abstracted.

Been working on an old mastodon hosting project I tried to start a few years ago, with a focus on privacy. This is the first big project I've tried to come back to with the help of coding agents and find it invigorating, and gives me the confidence to actually finish the project. I’m ambivert. When I spend time outdoors and with people I want to keep doing that, I become very extrovert. Can’t code in that mode. It’s hard to switch back to introvert but when that happens time flies really quick. A month can pass and it feels like a week.

As a C programmer of 40+ years, I find this aesthetically and pedagogically displeasing, but I am delighted to see them getting fully absorbed in writing 130 PRINT "You have been eaten by a bear!" : GOTO 900.
