It's tangential to the sandboxing topic, really. I started the first post with a broader intent in mind and then elaborated on the sandboxing setup I'm working on. For AI-assisted coding, though, it's nice because Haskell provides a lot of feedback earlier in the development process compared to lots of other languages. It tends to work once it compiles (obviously not all the time).

You can steer software development by running commands that issue reasonably general prompts. /plan, /code, /review I created this because I find it very useful to have different models/ perform each of those tasks in isolated sessions. Catastrophic interference is also a favorite Wikipedia page and concept. The thing is, it doesn’t only happen to artificial neural networks, I’ve had it happen to me a few times. Especially with pin numbers, newer pins overwriting old ones and I’m always scared when I’m having hard time remembering something that this catastrophic interference applied and now the information is gone from my brain.

I think reading helps quite a bit, especially writing about what you’ve read, even to yourself, just so you can go through the process of having to explain something that you’re only recently familiar with. There’s something about that process that seems to be helpful, at least to me.

The fear of being bad at it is the only thing holding you back. I experienced something like that with playing music with others. Perhaps you could learn to lay down your critical brain during the creation process and that good/bad isn't a useful distinction until later when you're editing your work.

I'm doing experiments with short attention-span students and code. Starting with python, and, oddly, now working in BASIC. As a C programmer of 40+ years, I find this aesthetically and pedagogically displeasing, but I am delighted to see them getting fully absorbed in writing 130 PRINT "You have been eaten by a bear!" : GOTO 900. I was talking about this with some alumni students, specifically their experience learning python with us a few years earlier (these are college students who are not really using python any more). What it seems to boil down to is that with python you have the feeling that there is this huge forest of solutions to any problem you are having -- but you will never know the whole forest. BASIC feels like you "know" it after a day or two of playing around, evidently.

You have , there is no need. I tried Emacs out a while ago to see whether it could replace Kakoune (I wanted to draw arbitrary stuff like images, 3D views, etc., in the editor) but honestly, Kakoune makes everything so easy to integrate that it was hard for it to compete.
