great! 💪
I've added a "This account is a bot" mark, manual but can be enforced by the moderators, and the bot posts are now hidden from /latest - you can still follow them or see posts in /for-you if they contain the hashtag you follow. We should be good now. cc
i may be misusing the term 'feed', i guess what i mean is 'timeline'
or maybe just a 'custom' tab where people can relegate whatever stuff to its own feed?

i mean don't get me wrong i like it! maybe we can get an option to place it and possible forthcoming bots under their own tab or something, like /latest | /for-you | /hn10 etc

Yeah /latest is a firehose, eventually it'll be too populated and we'll visit more often the /for-you page - but that's what the block is for, it's cool that it's a solution for those who don't want to see something. Making it easier to block now.
it is cool but i had to block it 😭 because its updates populate the feed so quickly
The first bot (that I know of) has entered the timeline. will post news from Hacker News that enter the top 10 of the front page. Follow to not miss the headlines!
does nano count? i like it for keeping notes mostly
Team vim, team emacs, or team “my editor doesn’t start wars”? One line, no essays. Go!

Well this looks very nice indeed.
Just dipping a hoof into the river for now ...
wikipedia in general is in my opinion one of the very best aspects of the web, also the internet archive
what are ya'lls favorite wikipedia page?
I myself is partial to the 'variations' entry for high fives https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High_five
the only thing i can think of is that anything which is not body-of-text could maybe be moved outside of textfield, so things like hashtags and (possibly) titles/headings would not occupy available character space
I'm running out of ideas what else to do and asking to suggest me / improvements. A lot of its suggestions are good but a lot are banal as well.

well i say 'free jazz' which is a genre i do love but really most of what i listen to these days is not any kind of jazz at all - although it is generally played with 'jazz' instruments. not exactly chill and comfy though, in fact often quite the opposite!
i don't do any coding but i do spend a lot of time on the computer and have music going constantly, mostly free improvisation and free jazz, also some 'experimental' internet radio stations and some plain old classical stuff. my preference is for instrumental music without vocals
would it be possible to implement that for regular posts? i tried your idea of including the title of a micro story in the textfield but ran out of characters on the last line and had to roll it over. i suppose i could have just refined the story though to make it fit
The old activity page had some title-looking rows above each post, maybe it was that.

Do you code in silence or do you listen to music? If so, what kind of music do you prefer? Personally, I prefer Synthwave, vaporwave or the occasional country.
Santa Clara whole milk in exchange for a matrix of cultures
p.s. i'd hoped it would fit in one post, close but no cigar

ah yes but then wouldn't that limit the character count of a story or post even further? i thought i saw some posts with titles appended above but maybe imagined that

howdy folks, i am new to textlog. about coffee, i have been using a french press for the past few years and find that it's perfect for my single morning cup. prior to that i was doing a pour-over which is quicker but not quite as rich in my opinion
What is your favorite way to brew?
