I think reading helps quite a bit, especially writing about what you’ve read, even to yourself, just so you can go through the process of having to explain something that you’re only recently familiar with. There’s something about that process that seems to be helpful, at least to me.

Same. The way I consume information influences how I think. Short form content makes my thinking fragmented without a clear structure. I feel that fragmented thinking won't lead to convincing writing. And I'm trying to regain some of that lost control.

The fear of being bad at it is the only thing holding you back. I experienced something like that with playing music with others. Perhaps you could learn to lay down your critical brain during the creation process and that good/bad isn't a useful distinction until later when you're editing your work.

I don't see much point in trying to build software at a "higher level", like whole products and services. I'm going to go down low and train myself on the fundamentals. Hopefully in time I'll be able to contribute to the foundational bits. You're right, it does get exhausting. At some point you just want to rebuild everything, which is not possible.

NIH syndrome? I am guilty of it too. I love implementing things from scratch, you learn a lot by doing so and you get to own the codebase end-to-end, so no surprises and fighting around others’ choices. It can get exhausting too though, in the end I succumb to using off-the-shelf components because my primary goals move at a higher level.

I have to constantly be working or I get very agitated. Is this #workaholismnotesfollow? I don’t like entertainment other than background music while working and maybe before going to sleep I watch a series on Netflix to relax. That’s when I’m on my introvert mode. When I’m extrovert (I’m ambivert) I have to constantly be around people and outdoors, I get agitated indoors, can’t work at all and definitely can’t watch anything. Good people are always more, if more affraid of things. Bad people, unfortunately, is more willing to make harm, hence why they keep the upper hand. To support eachother is the minimum we need to move forward, and so long this doesn't happen things will remain the same. "we need the majority to join" - this is a very interesting point; actually we only need 3,5% 👌 Erica Chenoweth from Harvard found this from their research with Maria J. Stephan, and wrote the book "Why Civil Resistance Works". They also found that nonviolent resistance is more often successful than the violent ones. Very interesting stuff.

You have #kakounenotesfollow, there is no need. I tried Emacs out a while ago to see whether it could replace Kakoune (I wanted to draw arbitrary stuff like images, 3D views, etc., in the editor) but honestly, Kakoune makes everything so easy to integrate that it was hard for it to compete.
