I knew token-based was more expensive but didnโ€™t imagine that much. Which is why u canโ€™t compete making alternative coding agents, their own subscriptions are much cheaper, but why they do it on their own Teams package is weird. Maybe targetting companies they feel they can pay.

Yes, that's for enterprises, that want SSO, governance, budgeting, data protection, etc etc. For C-level they are interested in "how much do we pay for AI", and with personal subscriptions you can't answer => can't manage it. This 530 EUR is the price for that learning.

Visiting, for the first time. It's about a 9 hour drive from home so we've never made the trip, but so worth it. Went to Ile d'Orleans yesterday, just... so quiet and beautiful. Maybe what I messaged read as a disagreement and mentioning that they get the job done was actually not about producing prose (of any quality). I wholeheartedly agreed and still agree with you. Getting the job done was more about producing output - be it some prose, images, videos, software, whatever. They do generate output. It is not to say that the output is meaningful or meaningless. Some souls do enjoy it. Some others - donโ€™t. I did start with a question though.

I think a lot of the pull around Omarchy is you get a riced desktop out of the box? Personally, I wouldn't really consider it for a number of reasons but I do appreciate a nice looking desktop. If you want something similarly pretty but a bit more normal and less monolithic (who needs a whole 'distro' for what Omarchy provides anyway?) approach then I'd suggest Niri + Noctalia.

It didnโ€™t work out, we found competition offering the same service for free so the #ideanotesfollow fell apart. Need to find something else to do as a side project to textlog. ๐Ÿ˜• Thinking of a code editor thatโ€™s focused on the new agentic workflows, so you have it on the side regardless of your agent tools and it monitors the git diff and offers a nice panorama view. Iโ€™ve done an extension for VSCode similar to this idea.

Yeah, 100%. That is completely something I am punting on currently. It would be easy to just copy over the solution from (extensions to) Markdown, but it's hard to entirely narrow in on both what tables ought to do and how to make them do it. If you had a magic wand, what would you have them be more like?

I was obsessed with Greece as a kid because of The Chipmunk's Adventure movie where they were dancing on the statues, ha. I was more into he statues (even if cartoon) than the dancing, and yet I have still never been there (I'm 45).

Piflux is a coding workflow. You can steer software development by running commands that issue reasonably general prompts. /plan, /code, /review I created this because I find it very useful to have different models/ perform each of those tasks in isolated sessions. Managing this manually was very much a hassle.
